Privacy Policy

Chef Olintho respects the privacy of people who visit our website, contact us about culinary services, or communicate with our professional Instagram account. This policy explains the information we may process, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we receive
We may receive information you choose to provide through our website, email, phone, consultation or inquiry forms, and Instagram business messages. Depending on how you contact us, this may include your name, contact information, event details, preferences, message content, and other information you voluntarily share.
When you submit our website inquiry form, we receive the answers you select and the details you enter. To help us understand how people find us, the inquiry also includes the first page you visited on our website, the name of the website that referred you (not the full address of the page), and any campaign tags in the link you followed. Our website keeps this information in your browser only for the current visit.
Instagram business messages
Chef Olintho uses an internal Instagram opportunity-monitoring tool to help identify genuine business inquiries and messages that may need a response. For incoming Instagram messages, the tool may process Instagram-scoped identifiers, username or display information when available, message and conversation identifiers, timestamps, the message content needed for classification, the resulting classification, and a limited message preview for operational logging.
The tool is designed for monitoring and classification. It does not automatically reply to Instagram users, initiate conversations, publish content, like posts, follow or unfollow accounts, delete messages, or block users. The current classifier is deterministic and does not send Instagram direct-message content to an external AI provider. The tool receives messages through Meta’s official Instagram messaging platform and is hosted by Cloudflare on our behalf.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, evaluate availability and service requests, plan potential or confirmed engagements, operate and improve our website and business communications, maintain security and reliability, prevent duplicate processing, and keep limited operational records where reasonably necessary.
Website hosting, email and service providers
Our website is hosted by Vercel. When you visit our website, our host processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keep the site secure. When you submit our inquiry form, your submission is processed by our website host and delivered to us by email through Resend, our email delivery provider. We receive and keep inquiries in our business email account, which is provided by Google Workspace. Our website’s fonts are hosted with the website itself, so loading them does not send your information to a separate font provider. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own terms and privacy practices.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure how visitors use our website and which pages and sources lead to inquiries. For most visitors, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (whose names begin with “_ga”) that, depending on your browser, last up to about 13 months, and it collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (such as city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, our website tells Google Analytics not to use analytics cookies by default. Google may still receive limited measurement information from those visits without cookies.
When an inquiry is submitted successfully, we record that an inquiry occurred, the type of inquiry, the first page visited, and the source of the visit. We also count clicks on our email and phone links; these records do not include your contact details. We do not send your name, contact details, or message content to Google Analytics, and our Google Analytics account is set to remove email addresses and common contact-detail fields if they ever appear in a page address.
We use Google Analytics for measurement and lead attribution only. For all visitors, our website tells Google that advertising storage, the use of data for advertising, and ad personalization are not permitted. Google signals and advertising personalization are also turned off, both in our Google Analytics account and in our website’s analytics settings, and we do not use website analytics data for advertising or remarketing.
When our pages load Google’s analytics code, Google receives technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and, where analytics cookies are used, cookie identifiers, and processes it under its own terms. Google Analytics keeps event-level data about visits for up to 14 months; aggregated reports may be kept longer.
You can limit analytics cookies through your browser settings or by using Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
Sharing and sale of information
Chef Olintho does not sell personal information or Instagram message data. Information may be shared with service providers that support our website or business operations, when reasonably necessary to provide requested services, or when required by law.
Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business and accounting records, supporting security and fraud prevention, resolving disputes, and meeting legal or contractual obligations. Inquiries submitted through our previous website platform (Webflow) before the effective date of this policy are kept in our business records and secure private backups, and may remain in that platform’s form records until our account there is closed. The Instagram monitoring tool is designed to retain limited operational records rather than unnecessary complete conversation histories. Website analytics data is retained as described under “Website analytics.”
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information in our care. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information, including requesting access, correction, or deletion. To make a privacy request, contact talktome@chefolintho.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify a request before acting on it.
Children
Our website and professional services are not directed to children for the purpose of collecting personal information online. If you believe personal information was provided by a child inappropriately, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The effective date above indicates the current version.
